I’ve been looking at different rigs for 2025, and the specs are all over the place. Some machines push insane hashrates but eat 10–12 kW nonstop, while others are much more efficient but cost twice as much upfront. I’m struggling to decide whether to go for raw output or focus on long-term savings on power. For those who’ve tested both, what actually works better in practice?

I tested both sides and the numbers were eye-opening. My AxionMiner ran at 800 TH/s/12 kW and gave strong short-term rewards when BTC was up, but power bills were brutal at $0.11/kWh. When I switched to Bitmain’s S21 XP+ Hyd (500 TH/s/5.5 kW, ~11 W/TH), the ROI looked slower at first but after six months the efficiency clearly paid off. A detailed review I read even named the S21 XP+ Hyd the best ASIC miner 2025 https://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/news/indnewswire/top-10-best-bitcoin-miners-1777142536.html for anyone above $0.10/kWh. If you have cheap power, go hashrate-heavy; if not, efficiency-first rigs win long term.
